Tuesdays 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. | at Our Savior Lutheran Church
You will have an opportunity to join either a Co-ed, Men's or Women's group beginning this fall.
What is Community Bible Study?
CBS is an interdenominational Bible study available to people across the world since its inception more than 35 years ago. In the US, there are over 800 CBS groups specifically for men, women, co-ed, children and/or youth.
What will we study or learn about?
CBS includes study, music and fellowship throughout the year, a winning combination for studying God’s Word and living productive Christian lives. This September, we begin a 30 week study entitled “From the Red Sea to the Jordan River” that encompasses Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers.
These Old Testament books tell the story of how God delivered His chosen people, the Israelites, from Egyptian slavery and established them as a new nation. Not just history, they also tell the story of a holy God’s faithfulness to weak and sinful people like us. Practical topics like doubt and faith, complaining and grace, crisis and intervention, and failure and repentance covered in this study, provide amazing opportunities for spiritual growth.
The mission of Community Bible Study is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our community through caring, in depth Bible study, available to all. The vision is “Transformed Lives Through the Word of God.”
History of our local CBS Group
The local Pinehurst class has been a women’s group until this point. Through prayer and work with the leadership, the group has been led to make it a co-ed group beginning this coming September. There will be choices offered to registrants of being in a co-ed, men’s or women’s group. There will be leadership of both men and women.
Tell me more about registration!
Registration is $35 per person and weekly free will offerings which support the CBS ministry world-wide. There are concurrent programs for infants and children through teens staffed by trained teachers and nursery attendants.
