These authors are from the Barna Research Group, Christian researchers who keep an eye on what's happening in the culture and how it affects churches, expeically in regard to the younger generations.  These books will open your eyes and challenge your thinking.  unChristian was studied in Sunday School recently.

The Present Future - Six Tough Questions for the Church by Reggie McNeal.

These are question that every chruch should be asking itself.  The author includes examples of what's working elsewhere and how we need to retool our thinking.

Good to Great - Why Some Companies Make the Leap and Others Don't by Jim Collins

Pastor Terry heard the author speak at the Willow Creek Leadership Conference.  and says "Much of what we know aabut business applies to the church as well.  Settling for survival instead of being our Best does not honor God."

Simple Church - Returning to God's process for Making Disciples by Thom Rainer and Eric Geiger

This is a very easy read and the simplicity of the concepts will astound you.  It is especially applicable to large churches making transitions.
